
Visit Union

Union Church in Boston's historic South End serves as the headquarters of the Union Combined Parish. The sanctuary, built in 1872, boasts the high Victorian gothic revival style, providing a sacred space for over 100 worshippers every Sunday. Union is the last remaining Black church in the South End.

The Church Office is closed on federal holidays and otherwise occasionally for rest. If you're visiting Union on a weekday, go to the W. Newton Entrance and ring the doorbell.

Public Transportation and Parking
We recommend traveling by the MBTA to get to Union Church—most of us do! By subway, the Prudential stop on the Green E Line and the Massachusetts Ave stop on the Orange Line are less than a five minute walk away. Use the MBTA's Trip Planner to plan your trip.
