What to expect
Worship at Union Church is rooted in the Africana celebration style, meaning it is filled with vibrant Gospel music and prophetic, though-provoking preaching. Watch a service to see how we worship.
There is no dress code—come as you are!
Worship is about 75 to 90 minutes long.
Holy Communion
At Union Church, we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion every first and third Sunday of the month. We use bread and grape juice, with a gluten-free option upon request.

What denomination is Union?
The Union Combined Parish is a church of the New England Conference of The United Methodist Church. In 2000, Union Church became the first historically Black congregation to join the Reconciling Ministries Network, dedicated to the full participation of LGBTQ+ people in the life and leadership of our congregation and denomination.
Is parking available?

Is childcare available?
Children ages 3-12 are invited to Kids Sunday School for Bible study, activities, and a snack. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their children or remain in Worship. Kids Sunday School is offered seasonally, and there are children's areas in the Sanctuary.
Is the building accessible?
There is an accessible lift at the W. Newton Entrance and a ramp at the Sanctuary Entrance. There is an all-gender, accessible restroom in the Church Office.
Is Worship recorded?
Worship is recorded and published on YouTube, and we often take photos. There are pews marked as Privacy Zones where you will not be recorded or photographed. Read our Privacy Policy for more information.
