Plamen Karadonev

Plamen Karadonev is the Director of Music of the Union Combined Parish. In this role, Plamen leads all aspects of Union’s Music Ministry, overseeing the Praise Team, Ensemble, and Men’s Chorus.

Through a Berklee College of Music scholarship, Plamen came to Boston in 2001. He has performed with some of the most respected jazz musicians on the scene including Randy Brecker, Gene Perla, George Garzone, Hal Crook, Dave Liebman, Jimmy Cobb, Richie Barshay and more.

Born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, Plamen comes from a musical family. His father, Dinko, was a choir director, educator, and accordionist.
