The Union Combined Parish ("Union") is committed to respecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy details how we use information that may be collected on this website, and explains our photo and video policy. Your Personal Information
Collecting Information. Union only collects and uses personal information that you voluntarily provided. We collect information through Wix Forms, Google Forms, Planning Center, and MailerLite. Though we have vetted these tools, we encourage you to review each of their Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, and other legal policies. Additionally, though we do not collect information through them, if you interact with us on social media, we encourage you to review each platform's Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
Types of Information Collected. Union collects personal information which identifies you including, by not limited to, your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and credit card and banking information. Our tools also collect information as you navigate this website or our other tools including, but not limited to, usage details. Though we are diligent in protecting your information, you provide your information at your own risk, and we cannot control the actions of third parties you may share your information with. When you provide your information, you consent to the collection and disclosure of such information.
Using Your Information. Union collects and uses your personal information for internal church purposes only including, but not limited to, online giving, email newsletters, signing up for Connection Groups and membership follow ups. Your information is only accessible to our Pastoral and Office Teams, and is never disclosed without your permission. We will never sell your information. Anonymized demographic information is shared with entities with The United Methodist Church as required by the Book of Discipline and other Church law.
Third Party Links. This website and the tools we use often contain links to or from third party websites or tools. We encourage you to review each website or tool's Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
Users Under 13. Union does not knowingly collect personal information from users under 13. If we learn that we have collected or received information from users under 13 without a parent or guardian's permission, we will delete that information in its entirety. If you have concerns about information from users under 13, please email office@unionboston.org.
Photos and Videos
Photos and videos help bring to life and tell the story of Union. By attending Union events, including Worship, you consent to being photographed or recorded, and we reserve the right to photograph or record our events.
Photos. Photos are used in marketing materials including, but not limited to, this website, social media, email newsletters, and printed materials. Union reserves the rights to these photos. If possible, we will seek your expressed permission to use photos you are clearly recognizable in. Your personal information is never shared in marketing materials without your permission.
Videos. Most Union events, including Worship, are recorded and may be shared online. Your personal information is never shared in marketing materials withour your permission.
Children Under 18. Photos or videos of children under 18 are never used in marketing materials without a parent or guardian’s permission. Children under 18 may unintentionally appear in an event recording. If you have concerns about photos or videos of children under 18, please email office@unionboston.org.
Opt-out. You may opt-out of being photographed or recorded by filling out this form. Additionally, in the Sanctuary at Union Church, certain pews are marked as Privacy Zones where no photos or recordings are taken.

This Privacy Policy may changes from time-to-time and the use of this website and our tools are subject to those changes. Please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
