Juan Josue “J.J.” Martinez is the Minister of Creative Engagement of the Union Combined Parish. Part of the Pastoral Team, J.J. develops design, marketing, and communications strategies. He also continues his training to be a pastor.

J.J. is a graduate student at the Boston University School of Theology pursuing a Master of Divinity in Ecclesial Ministry. He is a recipient of the School's Raíces Latinx Fellowship and is President of the Wesleyan Student Association. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Texas at El Paso, graduating summa cum laude as an honors student.

A United Methodist, J.J. is a certified candidate in the New England Conference.

In his free time, J.J. enjoys playing the piano and figuring out how to use his espresso machine.
