Savannah Doelfel

Ministry Associate

In her role as Ministry Associate, Savannah fosters community connection through providing discipleship, fellowship, and spiritual formation opportunities for the congregation.  She also works to reimagine congregational interaction with the greater Boston community.  Savannah plans to start seminary in Fall 2025 to obtain a Master's of Divinity degree and is in the candidacy process to pursue ordination as an Elder in the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church.

After growing up in the United Methodist Church in New Jersey, Savannah started attending Union in 2022 following her graduation from college.  She enjoys engaging in conversations that reframe her notion of who God is, facilitating and participating in Bible Studies that allow her to grapple with difficult ideas in community, and partaking in Prayer Calls where she experiences raw emotions with others.  Using her background in law and neuroscience/medicine, Savannah feels called to pursue pastoral ministry informed by social justice, advocacy, and healing of the whole person.
